- Always ensuring the correct PPE is used including gloves, masks, safety shoes, eye protection etc
- Setting up and running a variety of decanting stations in SDA and SDA Flam including:
- IBC and drum changes (removing connectors, safely draining pipes and re-connecting next IBC etc.)
- Scales to ensure correct weight control
- Correct pump speeds
- Labelling containers and pallets as required by the product specification
- Understanding and implementing production documentation including production works orders, bills of materials, pack codes, single point lessons, labelling requirements
- Calculating fill weights considering the specific gravity of bulk material
- Packing cartons, pallet boxes and pallets according to production works order specifications
- Be able to safely manually handle (pack, stack, palletise etc) containers weighing a minimum of 8kg and up to 20kg
- Cleaning down carefully and thoroughly all production equipment including scales at the end of production run or shift
- Maximising productivity from all process equipment by minimising downtime and waste
- Ensuring that production works orders are completed according to the standard time and production plan
- Monitoring, controlling, and recording information on paper and electronic systems including calculating run times and quantities per hour, shift etc.
- Be able to use lifting and handling equipment including drum changers and pallet trucks (hand and powered)
- Wrap, strap, and band pallets in accordance with specifications manually or using wrapping and banding equipment
- Contributing to continuous improvement projects
- Understanding the Kanban system for packaging inventory and re-ordering
- Be able to perform quality inspections on finished products
- Knowledge and understanding of the safety requirements in an ATEX (flammable) product environments
- RF gun scanning of materials
- Maintain an excellent standard of housekeeping during production and at the end of shift
- Must have good basic mathematics i.e. addition, multiplication, division, working out percentages etc
- Must have good English comprehension to be able to interpret and follow process and safety instructions precisely
- Competent and confident in using automated filling equipment
- FLT license is preferred also but not essential
- The ability to manually lift, place and stack containers weighing a minimum of 8kg for the duration of a shift is a minimum requirement for this role. Some manual handling tasks require up to 20kg’s being lifted
- Previous experience with SAP preferred, but not essential

- How to record decant information on works orders and hourly monitors
- How to take samples of finished product safely for quality control purposes
- How to do basic cleaning and checking of equipment
- How to build – label – palletise boxes for dispatch
