Carmichael UK are recruiting for a Senior Quality Engineer to join a Tier 1 main contractor delivering major works on the HS2 project across multiple sites in the Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire regions.This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Quality Engineer from a civil engineering background to take on a senior role supporting one of the UK’s largest infrastructure projects.The RoleWorking across several key sites, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality management are maintained throughout the project. You will work closely with Site Engineers, Section Engineers, and Agents to oversee quality processes and provide technical guidance.Key responsibilities include:Managing QA/QC processes across multiple HS2 work packagesDeveloping and reviewing Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)Monitoring compliance with design specifications and project requirementsReviewing and collating quality documentation for handoverSupporting and mentoring junior quality engineers and site teamsLiaising with client representatives and stakeholders on quality-related mattersDriving continuous improvement across all quality processesAbout YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:A civil engineering background – HND/Degree preferredSignificant experience working on major civil engineering projectsPrevious exposure to HS2 or other large-scale infrastructure schemesStrong knowledge of QA/QC processes within civil engineeringFamiliarity with structures, highways, and earthworks preferredExcellent stakeholder management and communication skillsValid CSCS card and right to work in the UK
