  • Assembly and integration of components to create new products.
  • Working in a trials and development environment.
  • Working to defined systems of work, specifications and work instructions.
  • Hands-on experience in a manufacturing setting with adaptable core skill sets.
  • Independently performs non-routine and moderately complex assignments.
  • Experienced with quality inspection points and process documentation.
  • Attention to detail and ability to self-inspect work to ensure quality defects are mitigated.
  • Competent and safe use of all hand and air tools.
  • Use of Jigs, fixtures, and measuring tools on precision assemblies.
  • Problem solver with a positive attitude.
  • Working with support from engineering group a methodical and precise approach to ensure successful completion of production tasks on high value hardware.
  • Complete understanding of “clean as you go”/6S/FOD/Tool control
  • Either recognised apprenticeship in mechanical assembly or equivalent through work experience gained on the job.
  • A very high level of health and safety awareness.
  • Must be able to take direction well and is a strong team player.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills:
  • Competent in vacuum bagging techniques.
  • Use of ovens and Autoclaves.
  • Working with metallic/non-metallic materials.
  • Working with and preparation of mould tools advantageous.
  • Competent and experienced in the use of chemicals, glues and resins.
  • Competently uses computers and other systems to access, maintain, manipulate data.
