Full Time: Monday - Thursday, with an early finish on Friday.We currently on the lookout for a Lead Quality Engineer to join a leading Manufacturer of high-technology components, systems and assemblies for the Defence, Aerospace and Commercial sectors.Quality Engineer's Daily tasks:
- Implement and monitor Quality Assurance systems to ensure compliance with AS9100, company, customer, and regulatory requirements.
- Support customer needs, including RCCA, business development, and workshops.
- Lead on all quality matters internally and externally, including with suppliers.
- Schedule and lead internal and external audits to maintain business accreditations.
- Support company Red Table/RCCA activities.
- Perform other duties as requested by the Line Manager, with appropriate training or explanation.
- Support and present at key customer business reviews.
- Drive continuous improvement and eliminate Non-Value Added activities.
- Implement stronger quality controls and operating systems as a change agent.
- Support and lead the development of lean and Six Sigma practices.
- Manage and track department KPIs and recommend action plans.
- Oversee the QA team's daily activities, skills development, training needs, and workload prioritisation.
- Support the Quality Manager at FGP when needed.
- Knowledge of products and processes in aerospace part and assembly manufacturing.
- Experience with Six Sigma tools.
- Auditing experience.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Beneficial knowledge of AS, ISO, and NADCAP standards.
- HNC in a relevant field or higher.
- ISO 9001 lead audit trained.
