This full-time, long-term post is perfect for someone with a strong practical background and a flair for inspiring innovation in the classroom.The DT department has seen recent investment in both tools and tech, offering an excellent environment to deliver engaging lessons in areas like product design, resistant materials, or graphics. You’ll be working with students across KS3 and KS4, and there may be opportunities to teach KS5 or vocational pathways depending on your experience.The Role:Deliver practical and theory-based DT lessons, helping students turn concepts into prototypesEncourage learners to experiment with tools, techniques, and materials in a safe, structured settingGuide students through the design process—from research and ideation to production and evaluationSupport pupils in completing coursework for GCSE Design & TechnologyPromote problem-solving, resilience, and sustainability in design thinkingContribute to departmental planning, trips, and school-wide STEM initiativesWho We're Looking For:A qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with a background in Design and TechnologyConfident in managing a workshop and delivering lessons in line with health and safety standardsSkilled in delivering both creative and technical elements of the curriculumAble to connect with students of varying abilities and nurture their potentialUp to date with current curriculum trends and industry developmentsEnthusiastic about helping s
