Reporting into the pre-construction and commercial functions, the Estimator will support cost planning and tendering across a diverse portfolio-from smaller schemes to high-value projects.Key responsibilities include:
  • Conducting quantity take-offs and preparing accurate cost estimates for materials, labour, and equipment
  • Analysing technical drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities
  • Developing comprehensive cost plans and assisting with tender strategy and submission
  • Collaborating closely with commercial managers, project teams, and subcontractors
  • Sourcing and comparing supplier and subcontractor quotations while maintaining cost databases
  • Identifying and incorporating project risks, contingencies, and value-engineering opportunities
  • Supporting pre-construction teams with cost reporting and budget tracking
REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience as an Estimator within commercial fit-out, refurbishment, or construction
  • Strong knowledge of cost planning, tendering, and estimating software/tools
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, contracts, and bills of quantities
  • Excellent analytical, numerical, and communication skills
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across teams and with external partners
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced pre-construction environment
