Job Description:Robert Half have partnered with a Business Consultancy Firm to recruit for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to help one of their clients design, build, and evolve the systems they rely on to deliver and operate software.Responsibilities:Collaborate within delivery teams to implement new projects, assess existing infrastructure, and drive technical improvements.Engage with clients to understand their needs, develop technical roadmaps, and design solutions aligned with ambitious business objectives.Contribute to building the organisation's cloud and infrastructure capabilities through internal knowledge-sharing, capability development, and thought leadership.Implement and refine processes for continuous delivery and evolution of infrastructure and applications, embedding automation at all stages.Monitor and uphold technical quality standards across projects.Provide expert advice in DevOps, cloud, platform, and infrastructure engineering to both internal teams and client stakeholders.Build trusted relationships with client engineering leadership.Identify constraints and propose innovative, practical solutions to business challenges.Experience:
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform to provision, manage, and version cloud resources.
Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale or high-traffic hosting platforms, including administration of application servers, web servers, and databases.Strong understanding of cloud and vitalisation platforms, infrastructure automation, and modern application hosting technologies.Experience collaborating with software delivery teams, with applied knowledge of DevOps principles, Agile methodologies, and Infrastructure as Code.Hands-on experience with at least one major IaaS cloud provider and two or more application runtime environments (e.g., physical servers, virtual servers, container clusters, serverless, or database platforms).Proficiency in at least one scripting language, with experience building Linux or Windows servers, or container-based environments.Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools across varied technology stacks.Experience with infrastructure monitoring for availability, performance, and/or security.Understanding of infrastructure security principles, including vulnerability management, secrets management, network security, and supply chain security.(Desirable) Experience with automated testing, performance testing, and stress testing tools.Organisation:
  • Initial 12-month contract
  • Fully remote role with occasional on-site attendance as required
