- Deliver engaging, face-to-face English lessons, often at the child’s residential home.
- Work alongside schools and social workers to support children receiving alternative education.
- Create tailored lesson plans and resources focused on each pupil’s individual needs.
- Use creative and interactive teaching methods to boost students’ confidence and skills in English.
- Apply behaviour management strategies and coping techniques, as many pupils may require additional support in this area.
- Locations vary depending on pupil needs, with all sessions agreed upon in advance.
- Expertise in English teaching or strong subject knowledge.
- Experience working with children or young people, ideally with SEN.
- Ability to manage different behaviours effectively.
- Skill in planning and delivering engaging, cross-curricular lessons.
- Commitment to helping pupils meet their learning goals and providing clear progress feedback.
- A current DBS certificate (Update Service registered) is required.
- Teaching Personnel can assist with DBS application if needed.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
