Senior Engineer - Job SummaryThe Senior Engineer will support the Head of Technical in managing multiple residential developments, often with complex engineering requirements. The role involves the preparation and coordination of accurate engineering information, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with all relevant regulations.Key Responsibilities:Coordinate engineering information between consultants and internal teams to meet deadlines.Review engineering drawings for accuracy, suitability, and cost-effectiveness.Obtain statutory approvals for engineering designs and remediation strategies.Conduct site visits and liaise with local authorities on highways and drainage requirements.Secure technical approvals for S38 and S104 agreements.Manage site investigations and ensure appropriate remediation strategies are in place.Ensure timely receipt and distribution of approvals to meet construction programme requirements.Mentor and support junior team members.Requirements:Experience:Significant experience in an engineering role, ideally within residential development or consultancy.Strong understanding of AutoCAD and residential engineering principles.Qualifications:Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or related field.CSCS card and valid UK driving licence.Skills:Strong technical communication and attention to detail.Organised, proactive, and able to problem-solve under pressure.Effective team leader with good delegation and mentoring abilities.Proficient in Microsoft Office and adaptable to new software systems.Working Conditions:Office-based with regular travel to development sites and external meetings.Flexibility required to meet business demands.To apply, please send your up to date CV to natalie@threcruit.co.ukPlease visit our website www.threcruit.co.uk to view all Midlands based Design and Technical vacancies within house building.Taylor Herrick Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
