About the Role
We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to join our dedicated catering team. You'll play a vital role in helping prepare and serve nutritious meals, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and basic cooking tasks
- Serve meals to pupils and staff in a polite and efficient manner
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, dining areas, and equipment
- Follow food hygiene and safety procedures at all times
- Support the cook and catering manager as needed
- Help with stock rotation and deliveries
- A positive attitude and team spirit
- Good communication skills and a willingness to learn
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of food hygiene (training can be provided)
- Enhanced DBS check required (can be arranged upon offer if not already held)
