Nursing Direct are looking for a compassionate and experienced Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join our growing team, delivering high-quality, community-based care to service users across London.This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated RMN to make a real difference, supporting individuals in their homes and local communities with a range of mental health needs, including challenging behaviours.Key responsibilities:
  • Provide person-centred mental health care to service users in their own homes and in the community.
  • Support recovery, promote independence, and encourage overall wellbeing.
  • Work collaboratively with families, external agencies, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Respond appropriately to crises using clinical judgement and de-escalation techniques.
Requirements:
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with an active NMC Pin.
  • PMVA training (or willing to complete).
  • Minimum3 months UK nursing experience.
  • Strong experience working with challenging behaviour in community or outreach settings.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Sound knowledge of safeguarding and mental health legislation.
  • Must be hardworking, adaptable, and committed to high-quality care.
Desirable:
  • Experience in crisis intervention or forensic mental health.
  • Full UK Driving Licence (preferred but not essential, depending on location).
