This unique role involves teaching within a small hub primarily supporting pupils with Speech, Language, and Communication Needs (SLCN), alongside other varied needs. Our pupils work significantly below their peers, supported by a bespoke timetable tailored to their individual requirements.Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that meet the specific needs of pupils with SLCN and other additional needs supported by a dedicated SENCO.
Lead and manage a team of support staff, ensuring effective deployment to meet the bespoke needs of the children.
Develop and implement personalised timetables and learning plans that promote progress and wellbeing.
Collaborate closely with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support pupils' holistic development.
Maintain accurate records and contribute to ongoing assessment and monitoring of pupil progress.
Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages pupil engagement and confidence.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Experience teaching pupils with Speech, Language, and Communication Needs (SLCN) or other complex needs.
Proven ability to plan and lead a team of support staff effectively.
Experience working with pupils who require bespoke timetables and tailored educational approaches.
