Daily Pay Rate: £160 – £240 per day (dependent on experience)A welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Sutton is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated SEND Teacher with a specialism in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This is a full-time position starting in September 2025 with the potential to move from temporary to permanent for the right candidate.About the RoleYou will work closely with students with ASD in a dedicated SEND provision within the school or as part of the wider inclusion team. Your focus will be on delivering tailored learning that meets individual needs, supporting academic development, social communication, and emotional wellbeing.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver differentiated lessons to meet the needs of students with ASDCreate a structured, nurturing, and sensory-aware classroom environmentCollaborate with the SENDCo, teaching assistants, and external specialistsMonitor and track pupil progress through EHCP targets and personalised plansSupport the development of communication, social skills, and independenceFoster strong partnerships with families, carers, and multidisciplinary teamsThe Ideal Candidate Will HaveQualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent SEND teaching qualificationProven experience teaching students with ASD at secondary levelStrong knowledge of autism strategies (e.g., TEACCH, PECS, Zones of Regulation)A calm, patient, and flexible approach to teachingExcellent behaviour management and communication skills
