My client, a Reputable and Major Irish Owned Company, is looking to recruit an Accounting Manager for their Shared Services Centre in Waterford. This is a permanent role that offers a competitive salary, significant career progression and a hybrid working opportunity.The Role:
Deliver high-quality Shared Services support across all Group locations
Proactively manage and mitigate all foreign exchange (FX) exposure risks
Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial reports
Ensure all customers have adequate credit insurance and that outstanding debts are collected and recorded efficiently
Guarantee accurate and timely payment to all employees and suppliers
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Irish and UK business tax regulations, including Relevant Contracts Tax
Lead a team of over 20 professionals delivering Shared Services support across Group sites
Oversee the smooth integration of new sites into the Shared Services framework
Ensure accuracy and completeness of all transactions through daily oversight and month-end accounting processes
Implement cross-training initiatives to maintain consistent, high-quality service delivery across the team
Continuously review and enhance internal processes to drive ongoing operational improvements
Requirements:
Professional Accounting Qualification – ACCA, ACA, CPA or CIMA
3 Years experience in a SSC environment
Knowledge of UK and Irish payroll functions and regulations an advantage
Analytical and problem solving skills
Managerial experience an advantage
The ability to meet strict deadlines in a timely and effective manner
