- Technical Design: Lead the conceptualization and detailed design of grid interconnection solutions, encompassing power system studies, substation design, transmission line routing, and related infrastructure.
- Interconnection Approvals: Collaborate with regulatory bodies, utilities, and relevant stakeholders to secure necessary permits, licenses, and approvals for grid interconnections, adhering to regulatory standards and requirements.
- Power System Studies: Conduct power system studies, including load flow analysis, short-circuit analysis, transient stability analysis, and voltage stability analysis, to assess the impact of renewable energy integration on the grid.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers within the team, fostering professional growth and knowledge sharing.
- Project Management: Manage the grid integration aspect of renewable energy projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met, and effectively communicate project updates to cross-functional teams.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential technical risks and challenges associated with grid integration and propose mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including project developers, electrical engineers, environmental experts, and regulatory specialists, to integrate grid solutions seamlessly within project frameworks.
- Innovation: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to grid integration and renewable energy to drive continuous improvement in project approaches.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare detailed technical reports, feasibility studies, and documentation required for regulatory submissions and project development milestones.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field. Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of [X] years of experience in grid integration, power systems engineering, or related roles within the renewable energy sector.
- Profound knowledge of power system studies and tools such as PSS/E, PowerFactory, or similar software.
- Strong understanding of grid codes, regulations, and industry standards related to renewable energy integration.
- Experience with substation design, transmission planning, and power system protection schemes.
- Proven project management skills, including the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license is a plus.
