Our team is made up of GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANPs), Nurses, Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Health Care Assistants (HCAs) and local administration teams supported by a centralised back-office function, providing finance, HR, administration, and data analysis support.We operate NHS services across the Northeast, Northwest and Yorkshire.IntraHealth are currently recruiting for a Lead Salaried General Medical Practitioner to help deliver our vision of high-quality medical services at our well-established, progressive friendly practice.We are progressive and dynamic, embracing new technology and ways of working ranging from daily telephone triage to video and e-consultations.We are looking for an experienced forward- thinking, proactive GP to join our team at Hallgarth Surgery, situated in the heart of County Durham. We are a friendly and robust practice, working in the heart of Shildon, a quiet Northeast town with a strong railway heritage, situated less than 20 minutes from both Durham and Darlington. Our practice serves around 5,500 patients, with a range of chronic and acute problems - no one day is the same! Our patients are friendly, down to earth, and appreciate their local surgery, and the doctors who work in them.You will take a leading role in improving patients' outcomes especially in areas such as diabetes and contribute towards redesigning services locally by representing the practice at PCN and ICB level.You will be a team player who is keen to support and contribute to our program of continuous improvements and clinical meetings and work with us to ensure we maintain our high QOF results.We have one salaried GP, 3 Nurse Practitioners, 1 Practice Nurse, 1 Vulnerable Adults Wrap Around Service (VAWAS) Nurse, and a range of other healthcare professionals. We host various trainees (Pre Reg-Pharmacists, Nursing Associate etc) We are keen to recruit a GP who is willing to mentor some of our current trainees or students in the practice.We are supported by a fantastic administration team led by our Practice Manager, which has a mix of youth, experience, and amazing baking skills.
