Tailored care is designed to meet the individual needs and wishes of each resident at the home. Staff are highly trained and understand the importance of enabling people to keep control of their lives.What is the role?This service is the home of 60 residents, all with individual personalities and different support needs including some with dementia.We ensure the highest standards are achieved to meet the varying needs of our residents. We pride ourselves on serving nutritious, and wholesome homemade meals.As Assistant Cook you will support the Cook in the day to day running of the kitchen and prepare and serve home cooked meals including snacks for all residents.Also, as a Pobl Difference Maker you really are part of something special where you and your opinions matter.   • Kitchen cleanliness duties.
  • Support with stock taking and ordering kitchen stock.
  • Adhering to health and safety in the kitchen, including food hygiene, infection control and COSHH and HACCUP
  • Prepare and serve meals (including portion control and provision of special dietary meals where necessary)
  • Actively engage with residents in conversation and meaningful activities
We plan our rota to ensure that you get every other weekend off.It is important you are committed and able to commit to the shift patterns in this service.What skills and experience do you need?
  • Experience working in a kitchen environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Experience using I.T systems
  • Food Safety qualification is desirable but not essential as full training is provided.
