Job summaryThe Flight Operations Officer is responsible for the execution of the daily base flight schedule. They will interface with a number of internal and external stakeholders to manage the safe, compliant and efficient delivery of the programme, whilst upholding a high standard of service to NHV’s clients.The position an operational as well as administrative function, part of the operations department, and reports directly to the Base Manager.Main ResponsibilitiesThe Flight Operations Officer primary accountabilities & responsibilities are as follows:Maintain and monitor the flight schedule – Including flight watch of aircraft operating from Blackpool baseMaintain a weather and NOTAM watch appropriate to the operationManage Crewing of the programme, including ensuring compliance with the company Flight Time Limitations schemeProvide required operational paperwork to Flight Crew to deliver flightsKey point of contact for clients – Liaise as required regarding changes, disruption and any issues in delivery of the flying programme. Assist with enquires and queries as needed.Liaison with Air Traffic Control at Blackpool AirportLiaison with Engineering Team to ensure fleet optimisation and availabilityLiaise with internal departments as required on current operational mattersWork with and supervise the on-shift Ground Handling Agents to ensure the safe, compliant and timely processing of passengers, baggage and freightEnsure all customer and internal reports are completed and distributed on time and in fullEnsure all administration is carried out to the required standard and regulationsSkills & ExperiencePrevious aviation experiencePossess professional, friendly and customer-focused personalityWillingness to learn and developProven ability to work under pressureSound knowledge and understanding of flight planning, weather reports and NOTAMS would be advantageous.Working knowledge of company Flight Time Limitations – DesirableVantage experience – DesirablePrevious experience in aviation operations role would be an advantage.What we offerYou'll be welcomed in a young and exciting company.
