- Drive the identification, prototyping, and scaling of breakthrough innovations aligned with business growth scenarios and Brambles’ disruptive innovation strategy.
- Oversee the end-to-end venture development process, ensuring each initiative progresses through defined gates from concept to post-launch review.
- Conduct market exploration and opportunity scouting, leveraging networks of startups, academia, and industry partners to identify high-potential ventures.
- Build and manage partnerships across various models, including incubations, alliances, and venture investments to accelerate innovation and platform development.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop robust business cases for new ventures and support their presentation and approval by senior leadership.
- Define and track KPIs for innovation projects, evaluate outcomes, and refine processes to enhance the effectiveness of the disruptive innovation model.
- Identify and assess external investment opportunities, applying valuation methods and performance metrics to support strategic decision-making.
- Promote innovation across the organisation through training, workshops, and knowledge sharing, embedding a mindset of experimentation and learning.
- Manage partnerships in various forms, including incubations, venture capital investments, alliances.
- Collaborate closely with the core innovation team for pipeline management to accelerate execution and delivery of new packaging solutions.
- Oversee a pipeline of high-impact innovation projects from inception to execution according to established process for venture development and governance
- Business Case Development - Develop relevant business cases for new venture development ideas is coordination with internal teams (strategy, finance, risk assessment) and support presentation and approval by senior management.
- Performance Monitoring - Establish and monitor key performance indicators for innovation projects and pipeline evolution for disruptive innovation.
- Culture Building – Actively contribute to foster a culture of innovation through training, workshops, and continuous learning and sharing.
- Evaluation – Evaluate the execution and results of each disruptive innovation project, capture relevant learning and introduce necessary adjustments to the DI process and model
- Focus on execution through ensuring that disruptive innovation related projects show steady progress as per established process and governance.
- Three-year experience highly desirable
- Talent to effectively navigate organizational resistance to new disruptive ideas to promote healthy change often over engrained traditional ideas
- Positive attitude to actively contribute to foster a culture of innovation across Brambles
- Talent to navigate in market uncertainty through use scenario planning to accurately foresee how technological progress and market trends will shape the future market and create opportunities for business growth
