The ideal candidate will haveProven management experience with the ability to lead and inspire teamsExcellent communication skills and a flexible, adaptable approach to workStrong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and remain calm under pressureA problem-solving mindset and the confidence to work independentlyAmbition, innovation, and the drive to deliver positive changeKnowledge of primary care and previous experience in general practice is desirable, but not essential.We are looking for a proactive leader who can bring out the best in others, embrace change, and contribute to the ongoing development of the practice in a challenging but rewarding environment.Main duties of the jobDeputise for the Practice Manager.Manage administrative staff and support non-clinical aspects of nursing staff, including rotas, appraisals, training, and adherence to employment policies.Oversee performance and quality standards, ensuring accurate data quality, clinical system use, and production of reports for audits and contract monitoring.Coordinate key administrative functions such as chronic disease recalls, immunisation and screening programmes, medicine management targets, and claims administration.Support staff with IT and system issues, providing training and guidance.Ensure confidentiality, equality, and compliance with health and safety policies.Contribute to continuous improvement, staff development, and maintaining high standards of patient care and service delivery.Communicate effectively with patients, carers, and colleagues to support a positive and professional practice environment.About usThe practice has a list size of 6450 patients. We have a friendly Team of 5 Doctors, 2 Practice Nurses, HCA and a team of 6 Receptionists/Admin, Reception Supervisor, Deputy Practice Manager & Practice Manager. A midwife & 2 Occupational Therapists hold clinics weekly in the practice.
