You must have been in the UK for 12 months prior to applying for this post and be able to provide a 6 year address history to be able to complete the prison clearance.This role is subject to a additional recruitment and retention premia of £1542 per annum.Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust provide a commissioned mental health service which delivers mental health care to men in custody at HMP Forest Bank. The team provide mental health assessment, treatment and support to cover a wide range of mental health conditions working within the stepped care model.We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Mental Health Nurse to join our team in providing secondary mental health care which is delivered in the prison. This post is part of the secondary mental health team which is comparable to a community mental health team in the community.Main duties of the jobThe post holder will manage individuals with secondary mental health service needs whilst they are in prison custody. This includes assisting in the delivery and development of effective, needs based, modern mental health services within the prison .The post holder should be expert in all areas of service delivery, ensuring effective communication is maintained at all times.The post holder will be responsible and accountable for the effective management of their own caseload and be expected to effectively utilise nursing skills and resources to provide high quality service to all service users.
