- Completion of preceptorship programme
- Evidence of continuous practice development related to delivering psychological interventions to both individuals and groups
- Training in psychological interventions
- Good knowledge and experience of risk assessment and management.
- Knowledge of Mental Health Act and other mental health legislation including CPA
- Experience of working in offender health or within a forensic setting.
- Knowledge of factors affecting secure mental health care and the contemporary mental health agenda
- Ability to analyse problems, gather relevant information and exercise sound judgement in reaching the most appropriate conclusions
- Ability to prioritise workload, work at a fast pace and meet deadlines.
- Ability to write reports and present information in a concise way
- Excellent organisational / time management skills
- RMN registration
