- Ability to read and understand drawings and work within tolerances stated.
- Operate CNC machinery to a high standard using driven tooling
- Time Served Apprenticeship or proven experience in a similar environment.
- Set up and operate CNC milling/turning machines according to technical specifications and engineering drawings.
- Interpret and understand engineering drawings, blueprints, and job orders to determine machining requirements.
- Select and install appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machine attachments for each job.
- Load raw materials into the machine and ensure proper alignment.
- Monitor the machine operation to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to quality standards.
- Make necessary adjustments to machine settings and tool offsets to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting to prevent machine malfunctions and downtime.
- Inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production processes and meet deadlines.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
