Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-timeAre you a dynamic and enthusiastic person with a passion for motivating young people through sport?GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Sports Coach to join a dynamic school in Wickford.As a Sports Coach, this role is perfect for someone who can motivate pupils to stay active, build confidence, and develop teamwork and leadership skills through engaging sports activities.Responsibilities as a Sports Coach:
- Plan and deliver fun and engaging sports and physical education sessions.
- Promote pupils’ physical development and encourage healthy, active lifestyles.
- Foster teamwork, discipline, and self-confidence through structured activities.
- Provide classroom support when required and assist with behaviour management.
- Work closely with teaching staff to integrate sports and physical activity into the wider curriculum.
- Support extracurricular activities, school events, and after-school clubs.
- Previous experience coaching or working with children or young people is desirable.
- A recognised sports coaching qualification is advantageous but not essential.
- Excellent communication, motivation, and leadership skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards pupil development.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with any gaps explained.
