- Manage a team of effective compliance engineers and coordinators
- Develop and maintain necessary skills within the compliance team
- Manage the Compliance headcount and operational budgets (define, forecast, assess, monitor)
- BPO of effective and efficient COP, ELV, RRR and QMS processes
- Develop effective process and business KPI's that demonstrate status, drive action from all stakeholders in the process and ensures transparency and objectivity
- Establish and maintain effective 'consultancy based' system to support all areas of the business and ensure compliance of all products and QMS
- Adequate communication is established with the relevant authorities to effectively manage all activities associated with product compliance
- Effective process for assessing the COP Control Plan for all variants in series production (ensure is appropriately maintained)
- Effective communication with Product Development, Engineering, Purchasing and Quality departments for planning and coordinating activities required to ensure consistent product compliance (COP, ELV/RRR and QMS).
- Successful compliance related audits (COP and ELV/RRR) by the certification authorities (Europe, China, Taiwan etc.)
- Regular ELV/RRR compliance assessments and coordinate follow-up activities to ensure all products remain compliant in series production.
- Internal auditing process - you will ensure effective business assessment against the IATF standard to drive best business practices are incorporated in the key processes of the QMS.
- Maintain the company certification to the IATF 16949 automotive standard
- Timely resolution of any inconsistencies and/or non-compliances
- Ensure the COP / ELV / RRR systems within SAP is consistently maintained to ensure correct functionality, including data management
- Proactively assess existing processes for continuous improvement
- Previous experience in automotive industry is essential (product knowledge)
- Proven ability to manage aspects of complex operations/processes and people
- Proven ability to act under pressure with calmness, clarity of thought and decisive authority
- Experience in analysing and interpreting product related data
- Proven communication skills
- Proficient in Continuous Improvement approaches
- Understanding of the Total Quality Management methodology and principles
- Project management skills are desirable
- Knowledge of COP and ELV / RRR regulatory requirements applicable to passenger cars is essential
- Understanding of REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and restriction of Chemicals), SVHC (Substances of Very High Concern) and GADSL (Global Automotive Declarable Substance List) is essential
- Qualified ISO/TS Lead Auditor is beneficial
- Applicable knowledge and experience of the ISO/TS 16949 automotive standard is beneficial
- University Degree is required
- Highly computer skills are essential (MS Office)
- Understanding and the application of the Quality Tools (SPC, MSA, FMEA)
