Accommodation Allowance: £150 per weekGloucestershire County Council is seeking an experienced and dedicated Locum Social Worker to join one of our Children’s Locality Teams.This is a frontline role managing a caseload of approximately 18 children, including Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), and Children in Care (CIC) cases. Some court work is also involved. You’ll be joining a supportive and well-structured service committed to achieving positive outcomes for children and families.Responsibilities:Manage a diverse caseload across CIN, CP, and CICUndertake direct work with children and familiesComplete assessments, reviews, and statutory visits in line with legislative requirementsPrepare reports for child protection conferences, looked-after reviews, and court proceedingsWork collaboratively with multi-agency professionals to ensure the safety and wellbeing of childrenRequirements:Social Work England registrationMinimum 2 years’ post-qualifying experience in children's servicesExperience working across CIN, CP, CIC, and court proceedingsStrong knowledge of safeguarding legislation and proceduresWhat’s on Offer:£43 per hour pay rate£150 per week accommodation allowanceCapped caseload of around 18 childrenFlexible working options, depending on service needsSupportive management structure with regular supervisionAccess to ongoing training and professional developmentThis is a great opportunity to join a forward-thinking local authority that values its social work teams and supports them to deliver the best possible outcomes for children.Apply now or get in touch to find out more.
