As a Behaviour Mentor, your role will involve implementing tailored strategies, monitoring progress, and collaborating with teaching staff and parents to create a supportive and structured learning environment.Key Responsibilities as a Behaviour Mentor:
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
- Build positive, trusting relationships to encourage engagement and success in learning.
- Assist in implementing behaviour management strategies and track pupil progress.
- Support the class teacher in creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment.
- Collaborate with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure consistent support.
- Previous experience supporting children with SEMH or behavioural needs is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Patience, adaptability, and a proactive, solution-focused approach.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
- A CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any employment gaps.
