- Provide timely and accurate financial analysis to support Warehouse Operations, including monthly and annual performance reports.
- Analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with Warehouse Operations leadership to develop and manage budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Lead the forecasting process for Warehouse Operations, incorporating input from various stakeholders to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Monitor in month performance to provide monthly close forecast.
- Monitor and analyse operational costs, identifying areas for potential savings and efficiency improvements.
- Hold monthly business review meetings and drive accountability to enhance financial performance.
- Support the evaluation of capital expenditure (Capex) requests, ensuring financial viability and alignment with strategic objectives.
- Act as a trusted advisor to Warehouse Operations management, providing insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to support strategic decisions.
- Assist in the appraisal of new projects, initiatives, and procurement contracts, including lease versus buy analysis.
- Monitor the performance of projects and initiatives.
- Foster strong relationships with Warehouse Operations teams to understand their financial needs and challenges.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Fleet and FP&A, to drive financial performance and operational excellence.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within financial reporting and budgeting practices.
- Implement best practices in financial management to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of Warehouse Operations.
- Qualified accountant with significant PQE (post qualification experience)
- Proven experience as a Finance Business Partner or in a similar role, preferably within a warehouse or operational environment.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modelling and data analysis tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Solid proficiency in SAP and Excel.
- Able to deliver high quality outputs to tight deadlines
