Quantity Surveyor - £550 per day (Outside IR35)Role: Interim Quantity SurveyorRate: £450-550 per day (Outside IR35)Client: Major Defence InfrastructureLocation: Hybrid working, with 3 days per week on site (South-East England)Duration: 6-12 monthsAre you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to take on a role where your expertise directly supports some of the UK's most high-profile and technically complex projects?This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a collaborative environment, where you'll help shape procurement strategies, manage contracts, and guide best practice across the supply chain.What you'll be doing:Supporting project teams with procurement strategies, tender documentation, and specifications.Managing contracts through effective record keeping, change management, and governance.Driving value by overseeing contractor incentive models and providing performance feedback.Assessing and settling contractor claims, agreeing final accounts, and issuing payment certificates.Acting as a subject matter expert, advising on dispute resolution, contract close-out, and supply chain improvements.Contributing to business cases, feasibility studies, peer reviews, and investment planning.Championing best practice to ensure supply chain excellence.What we're looking for:Strong Quantity Surveying background, with experience across the full pre-contract lifecycle. * Background in large, complex, construction projects.Confident in contract management, change control, and financial forecasting.This is an urgent requirement - if interested, please apply asap and any questions, email claire.shipman@1st-executive.com
