An enthusiastic and dynamic Advanced Nurse Practitioner is being sought to join a growing multi-disciplinary primary care team in Folkestone. The successful candidate will work alongside GPs, Pharmacists, and Nurses to deliver high-quality patient care.This permanent position is offered on either a part-time or full-time basis. A full clinic day runs from 9am to 1pm and 2pm to 6pm, with paid tea breaks during each session in addition to an unpaid lunch break.This role offers an exceptional opportunity for career development within Primary Care. In return, the practice is committed to supporting the successful candidate in further developing clinical skills and progression within the role.Applications are welcomed from qualified Advanced Nurse Practitioners with at least two years’ prescribing experience and two years’ experience working in an ANP role.Main duties of the job
The Advanced Nurse Practitioner will:
- Provide face-to-face services, enabling patients to access appropriate health information and professional care.
- Deliver safe and effective health assessments and treatment of patients.
- Take accountability for practice, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and discharge or referral of patients independently of medical intervention.
- Demonstrate safe clinical decision-making and expert care, including assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Apply critical thinking in the decision-making process.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to meet patient needs and support policy and procedure delivery.
- Provide a holistic clinical service with support and supervision from GPs, implementing management plans and following approved protocols.

Digital access is also supported through the NHS App and Patient Access App.Job descriptionResponsibilities include:
- Maintaining professional registration and working to the latest professional standards.
- Recording accurate consultation data in SystmOne in line with professional guidelines.
- Making effective use of the clinical system with accurate data entry and use of read codes.
- Initiating diagnostic tests and investigations, interpreting results, and discussing findings with clinicians as appropriate.
- Prescribing safe, effective, and appropriate medication as an independent prescriber.
- Delivering safe, evidence-based, cost-effective, individualised patient care.
- Offering holistic care to patients and families, including support for prevention, self-care, and socio-economic challenges.
- Promoting health and wellbeing through education, screening, and communication.
- Screening for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
- Referring patients directly to other services or agencies as needed.
- Supporting appropriate use of face-to-face consultations.
- Working with allied health professionals to achieve Quality and Outcomes Framework targets.
- Exercising professional judgment to manage risk, particularly in complex or unpredictable situations.
- Using enhanced communication, negotiation, and conflict management skills with empathy and reassurance.
- Collaborating with the multi-disciplinary team and wider primary care network to promote seamless care pathways.
- Monitoring and reviewing clinical practice through audit and peer review.
