To support the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) across all finance functions with specific responsibility to financial accounting of the organisation, in year and year-end accounting process, and preparing for the external audit and the charities statement of recommended practice (SORP) accounting.The main duties for the role are as followed:Responsible for ensuring year-end accounting is completed accurately and on time, preparing for annual external audit with the management accountant and working with the team on the SORP accounts, including assisting the CFO with annual report work.Ensuring the monthly and year-end financial information, including the balance sheet is produced accurately, applying appropriate financial principles and accurately analysing reconciliations where applicable.Applying correct and relevant accounting standards where applicable.Working alongside the Management Accountant in achieving timely and accurate financial information that will improve financial and operational control, and support business decision-making.Supporting the CFO in producing key financial schedules including Financial Performance reports, cashflow forecasts, working capital & capital expenditure forecasts & budgets.Undertaking ad hoc accounts duties or research to support the team's activities.Supporting the CFO and Director of Corporate Services with preparation of reports and presentation of financial information to the Senior Management Team and potentially the Audit Risk and Finance Committee.Great Opportunity|Permanent position!The successful candidate will have the following:Qualified Accountant, ideally ICAEW/ACCA, preferably with two years experience.Strong technical accounting background, and solid stakeholder management skills * Exposure in the charity, not for profit sector.Good team working skills displaying working together with the management accountant and other team members in achieving team goals.Ability to build relationships with other non-financial departments, suppliers, committee and council members.Manages own workload to successfully deliver objectives, taking a short and long-term perspective and adapting to changing priorities.Able to build good working relationships with managers, directors and external stakeholders and support them in continuously improving their approach to financial management. * Be able to demonstrate a commitment to Equality Diversity and InclusionYou will be working for a fantastic Public Sector Organisation based in central LondonYou will be offered a Part Time Financial Accountant position within the public sector.
