Protocol Education are currently looking for Support Workers to work within an education setting. This is a perfect way to gain experience with children who have additional needs and need extra adult support.What is the role?We work with schools in and around Bristol to provide support staff for children and we currently have roles such as general classroom Teaching Assistant and 1:1, 1:2 or 1:3 SEND support assistant. The children have a range of diverse needs including autism, ADHD, SEMH needs and sometimes physical disabilities.Why Support Workers?From talking to our schools, we have found that people who have previously worked at Support Workers have skills that are transferable to an education setting such as being empathetic and differentiating their style of support based on the needs. Because of this, we are keen to continue to recruit individuals from a support worker background who are passionate about working with children.Which school will I be at?We have schools across Bristol and South Gloucestershire who are looking for staff.
