
Production Supervisor

- Daily inspection of site physical conditions
- To ensure strict adherence to site security standards ensuring the plant alarm is activated each week.
- To ensure all PPE standards are maintained and available to team members
- To be a lead member in all plant risk assessments and educate people on associated risks
- To drive and monitor 5's standards throughout the site.
- Ensure 5s+1 audit action are completed in line with due dates and escalated where required.
- To ensure products with deviations are reported, quarantined and clearly identified and investigated
- To ensure all calibration checks have been performed
- To ensure site Quality standards are maintained and continually improved.
- Perform daily GMP documentation spot checks
- To perform quality investigations on non-conformances, including Human error, 5 Why, 8 Steps, etc.
- To ensure all plant downtime is reviewed and monitored with suggestions for improvements highlighted, through data analysis tacking
- To escalate any operational related downtime that is more than 1hr.
- Manage consumable stock process, including replenishment to ensure monthly stock takes are conducted and stock levels maintained.
- To ensure all processing of products is in line with customers expectations and meets all processing
- To ensure all products are clearly segregated and storage requirements are maintained.
- To conduct weekly stock takes, highlighting products that have been processed but not shipped.
- Ensure booking in of customers products is performed within a timely manner to ensure adherence to local targets
- To oversee SQDC counter measures ensuring target dates are reported
- To monitor and communicate schedule adherence
- Oversee continuous improvement initiatives/activities within the department
- Oversee & drive 5S audit action program
- Participate in site kaizen activities, gemba walks and continuous improvement tasks for the site
- Working hours will be agreed locally and align with the operational requirements of the business.
- May be required to support on-call duties agreed as part of local site operational requirements.
- Will be required to support off-site meetings within the UK
- May be required to support off-site meetings outside the UK
- Motivate and develop a team that can cover all required tasks, ensuring standards are maintained and overtime kept to a minimum, where possible
- Create Individual employee development plans, provide coaching, and training
- Complete Performance Management- annual goal setting & reviews (GPS), Supervise disciplinary actions
- To complete Labour forecasting, planning, interview/selection, temporary staffing, & Overtime
- To help create and maintain a proactive culture where team members are empowered to deliver the company values of TEAMWORK, PEOPLE, INNOVATION, INTEGRITY and ACCOUNTABILITY.
- To drive the culture of OTOG through site team building days/days out.
- To ensure performance related reviews are formalised and escalated where appropriate.
- To ensure all return to work and ARM reviews are fully completed within 4hrs of start of shift.
- To schedule, record and appraise each team member at least once per year, setting localised objectives
- To assist in both succession planning and continuous improvement.
- To ensure all break times are monitored and associates welfare is being met
- Supervise the day to day resource plan, monitoring holidays and sickness in line with local performance targets, ensuring adequate processing cover always.
- To carry out any reasonable management requests
- At least three (3) years previous experience in successfully supervising operational staff is required
- Experience in similar operational role in a operationally based business (production unit or plant).
- Demonstratable experience in leading teams within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in coaching, training and mentoring employees.
- Performance improvement experience and operational KPIs
- Technical aptitude and knowledge of continuous process improvement techniques in a continuous improvement environment.
- Qualification in a technical / supervisory discipline an advantage.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills with energy and charisma.
- Proficient with MS Office suite.
