- Develop and maintain long term relationships with strategic public sector clients.
- Take overall responsibility for the acquisition and on-boarding of public sector customers through competitive bidding or direct award.
- Act as the main point of contact for Santander Leasing public sector sales.
- Maintain awareness of all relevant SCUK policies and processes.
- Develop and execute the public sector Leasing Sales Strategy to deliver the sales plan and revenue targets.
- Analyse market trends and customer data to ensure that the go to market sales channel strategy and product offerings, including ancillary services, will optimise customer satisfaction.
- Expand the Santander Leasing funded fleet by identifying cross selling and up selling opportunities in the public sector Sales Channel.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure customer onboarding is both smooth and professional.
- Take the lead on contract negotiations within the specialised field of public sector leasing.
- Work closely with Legal and risk teams to ensure that the Corporate Leasing strategy aligns with SCUK company policy and regulatory requirements
- Adhering to our commitment to Consumer Duty ensuring we put our customers’ needs first and set higher and clearer standards of consumer protection
- Demonstrable proven track record in Public Sector sales within Leasing or Fleet Management Sector
- Ability to oversee complex Public Sector leasing contracts and tender documents
- Experience in using CRM and BI tools to deliver customer insights and reporting with tangible examples
- Represents department and may deputise in Executive level meetings
- The ability to interact with and influence industry bodies and regulators
- Experience in dealing with central Public Sector procurement agencies and tender boards
- Credible, effective and enthusiastic leader who gains commitment from others and demonstrates the ability to achieve results through people
- Ability to translate complicated ideas in a clear and simple proposition to gain buy in from colleagues outside of the immediate function
- Specialist knowledge of policies and procedures within financial services regulated and compliant environments
- Proven experience of playing a part in the designing and costing bringing new products to market in a mature marketplace
- Exceptional presentation skills – particularly in a customer facing environment
- First-class written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present to internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- Competitive salary of £70 – 75,000 dependant on experience
