We are looking for Logistics Controller to join the onsite team on a contractor basis (inside IR35) until the end of the year (with a possibility to extend)MISSIONSManages, coordinates and is responsible for the "reporting" of all inventory activities to enable the achievement of reliable targets in order to optimise inventory levels and costs within the UAP.PRINCIPLE ACTIVITIES
  • Provides the escalation point between manufacturing and stores/suppliers who deliver direct to the point of use
  • Manages the manufacturing units needs defined in the ERP system and in line with the defined inventory rules
  • Organises the activity and inventory storage for point of use components for the manufacturing unit in terms of planning, implementation, analysis and reporting of results
  • Supports logisticians in their activities to ensure the reliability of the movements: treatment of urgent deliveries, processing of scrap, and accurate record keeping in relation to inventory levels
  • Ensures controls are in place to ensure the proper execution of inventory discrepancies, physical and system movements and waste management rules
  • Notifies the internal/external schedulers when discrepancies of inventory have been identified
  • Monitors/performs cycle counts within the manufacturing unit, on all raw material and components as well as Kanban bins in manufacturing areas
  • Measures and analyses inventory performance in coordination with the internal/external scheduler using the defined metrics
  • Analyses the root cause of metrics not at the target level and works with the manufacturing unit to develop the necessary improvement and corrective action plans
  • Manages the despatch or receipting process for the provision of subcontracting where applicable
  • Improvement projects (internal & external) for the permanent improvement of logistics flows and storage
  • Stock takes, audits and assessments
  • Improvement projects to improve delivery performance
  • The management of supplier transport, documentation and requests
  • Maintaining the logistics guidelines
Requirements
  • Detailed vision of the production processes and their company’s supply chain
  • Proficiency in the MRP2 processes
  • Knowledge on the markets of Safran Group products
  • Have experience of inventory management and practices
  • Understand the basic rules of customs and transport
