Synchronicity Care Limited (SCL)/CDD Services are a wholly owned subsidiary company of County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust (CDDFT). SCL/CDD Services provides a range of non-clinical Estates, Facilities and Procurement services to CDDFT.SCL/CDD Services are looking to recruit a conscientious, flexible, enthusiastic and customer focused individual to join our Portering and Transport Team based at Darlington Memorial Hospital (DMH).Porter/Drivers are responsible for providing support services to the Trusts clinical teams, incorporating the movement of patients and supplies within the DMH site.Main duties of the jobSuccessful post holders must be of a smart appearance, have an ability to communicate well at all levels, be level-headed and remain calm during emergency situations, be able to take instructions yet at times prioritise and act on their own initiative and have a proven ability to work without direct supervision.A detailed understanding of hospital functions, experience of working with the general public and proven driving experience are desirable however full training will be provided.The successful applicant must be flexible in their approach to working times, be available to work shifts, weekends and bank holidays when required.
