
Teaching Assistant

- Assist lead teachers in planning, preparing, and delivering lesson plans and instructional materials
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, helping them understand and complete assignments
- Monitor and supervise students during classroom activities, recess, and field trips
- Collaborate with lead teachers to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of classroom materials, equipment, and resources
- Help with the assessment and evaluation of student progress, including grading assignments and tests
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences and communicate with parents as needed
- Assist with classroom management and enforce school policies and procedures
- Provide support for students with special needs or learning difficulties
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and academic progress
- Assist with administrative tasks such as photocopying, filing, and organizing classroom materials
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and training programs
- Assist with the setup and cleanup of classroom activities and projects
- Support lead teachers in managing classroom behavior and implementing positive discipline strategies
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Child Development, or a related field (preferred)
- Associate's degree with relevant experience may be considered
- Proficiency in teaching assistant duties and responsibilities
- Strong understanding of child development and learning theories
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to work well with children of various ages and abilities
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Proficiency in using educational technology and software
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques and positive discipline strategies
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing classroom needs and situations
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
