
Data & Development Lead

- Provide technical leadership to a team of 3 specialists across data engineering, automation, and systems development.
- Define and maintain a fit-for-purpose internal data and systems architecture, ensuring scalability and alignment with business needs.
- Lead the design and delivery of complex engineering solutions, setting technical direction and ensuring best practices.
- Develop and execute complex data engineering, development and technical change where required.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure cohesive and maintainable system design and integration.
- Guide team members in aligning their work to approved and prioritised initiatives, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
- Act as a motivational and developmental force, helping to grow the team's skills, confidence, and performance.
- Work closely with IT Operations, business stakeholders, and the broader Data & Innovation team to deliver impactful solutions.
- Significant experience in data engineering and system development, in particular Databricks, Microsoft technologies (Azure, Power Platform, M365) and integrations.
- Experience working with a broad range of SaaS applications such as Workday and Monday.com desirable.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor technical teams, ideally in a small, agile
- Comfortable delivering and supporting through hands on technical execution, as well as strategic planning and leadership.
- Strong understanding of data integration, automation, and system design.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder and team engagement skills.
- Translates overall strategy into meaningful direction for the team
