Working Hours: 37 hours per weekThe Highways Department is responsible for the development and implementation of a range of key transport related projects and policies, ranging from development of Thurrock's Local Plan through to highways improvement schemes, to development of key transport policyThe post is within the Highways Development Management that is responsible for:
- The development and implementation of new transport infrastructure schemes
- The development of the future highway improvement programme for the Local Plan
- Transportation Policy development
- Planning advice for new development
- The management of the Highways Development Team
- Providing expert advice for planning service
- Highways adoptions
- Development of Highways & Transport related Policy
- Ability to assess complex reports and Transport Assessments
- Provide expert advice both verbally and in written form
- At least 5 years experience at a senior level of Transport planning and/or development management
