
Field Service Engineer

- Promote and adhere to all company Health & Safety policies and procedures at all times.
- Travel to customer sites to carry out servicing, maintenance, and repair of plant machinery and equipment.
- Conduct routine, reactive, and preventative maintenance tasks with precision and efficiency.
- Diagnose and resolve faults across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Continuously develop technical knowledge to stay current with equipment and industry standards.
- Deliver excellent customer service, ensuring a professional and courteous approach on every job.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of work completed.
- Ensure a clean, professional appearance and take responsibility for the care of company-issued equipment and service vehicle.
- Hold and maintain a full UK driving licence.
- Level 3 qualification in Construction Plant Maintenance or a related vocational discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Strong technical knowledge of construction plant, tools, and equipment.
- Experience diagnosing and repairing plant machinery in a field-based role.
- Certification in the following areas (preferred but not essential):
- Manual Handling
- Working at Height
- CSCS or equivalent skills accreditation
- Forklift Operation
- Telehandler Operation
- Safe Lifting Techniques
- First Aid
- Banksman Duties
- Clear communicator, capable of interacting with team members and clients at all levels.
- Honest, dependable, and operates with integrity.
- Self-motivated with a practical, hands-on approach and willingness to learn.
- Team-oriented and supportive, while capable of working independently.
- Organised, methodical, and adaptable to changing workloads or deadlines.
- Customer-focused with a proactive, solution-driven attitude.
- Able to remain calm under pressure and respond quickly to operational needs.
- Timely and efficient completion of assigned tasks
