What you will do:- Support and deputise for the Team Manager, ensuring the efficient operation and management of the MASH team.
- Develop and motivate social work staff by providing training, coaching, and guidance to maintain high standards of practice.
- Conduct regular supervision and performance management to support staff development and wellbeing.
- Oversee the screening, assessment, and decision-making for all incoming referrals, guaranteeing timely and appropriate interventions.
- Collaborate with partner agencies such as health, police, and the voluntary sector to facilitate effective multi-agency information sharing.
- Promote continuous learning and professional development in the team to enhance practice and outcomes.
- Contribute to service development initiatives, policy implementation, and quality assurance activities.
- Ensure compliance with statutory duties, safeguarding legislation, and local policies related to child protection and early help services.Essential Qualifications and Experience:- Qualified and registered Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
- Substantial experience in a MASH or similar service with strong child protection process understanding.
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience in social work, including team management.
- Skilled in making professional judgments and managing complex cases effectively.
- Committed to anti-discriminatory practice and promoting equality and diversity.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and partnership skills.Additional Information:This locum role offers flexibility and a competitive hourly pay rate of £41.50.
