- Sales & Profit: Support the Shop Manager in analysing financial performance, implementing cost control measures, and maximising trading potential through Gift Aid, Shopiago, eBay sales, and community-driven profit-making activities.
- Logistics: Oversee deliveries and collections within a set geographic area, coordinate efficient route planning, manage furniture handling, and ensure seamless stock transfers between shops.
- Stock Management: Maintain shop density by processing donated goods, enforcing pricing and quality standards, and reducing stock loss through effective inventory control.
- Shop Standards: Create a welcoming environment, uphold cleanliness standards, and provide outstanding customer service, including managing complaints and social media queries.
- Administration: Maintain secure and accurate records, comply with financial procedures, and ensure effective communication via digital systems and retail operations manuals.
- Security & Compliance: Safeguard stock, cash, and IT equipment, adhere to banking policies, and uphold Shaw Trust’s safeguarding protocols.
- Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, risk assessments, and PPE requirements to maintain a safe working environment.
- People & Volunteer Management: Assist in recruiting, training, and retaining staff and volunteers, ensuring they are equipped to perform effectively while fostering motivation and engagement.
- Shop Floor Cover: Provide shop floor cover in the event of colleague absence or busy periods
- Van Driving Cover: Provide van driving cover
- 25 days annual leave per year (plus bank holidays), with incremental increases post 3 years’ service up to 28 days, and the option to purchase additional holiday
