Hours: Full time. Required hours of work are 37.5 hours per week. The business operates on weekends and weekday evenings.The OpportunityLCK Academy is seeking to appoint enthusiastic and dedicated Lecturers in Business Management and Hospitality to deliver high-quality academic programmes within a socially impactful institution committed to widening participation and student empowerment.This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing academic team and shape the experience of learners from diverse backgrounds. Teaching will take place face-to-face in Harrow and online, including scheduled weekend and evening delivery.Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, workshops, and practical sessions
  • Design, update, and assess inclusive and industry-relevant learning materials
  • Provide timely marking, constructive feedback, and academic support
  • Act as a personal tutor, offering academic and pastoral guidance
  • Participate in quality assurance processes, internal moderation, and academic committees
  • Undertake module leadership and curriculum development duties
  • Support weekend delivery, staff training, and CPD engagement
Essential Criteria
  • Master's degree in a relevant field (Business or Hospitality)
  • Experience teaching in higher education or adult learning
  • Familiarity with UK higher education standards (OfS, QAA)
  • Excellent communication and digital delivery skills
  • Commitment to inclusive, student-centred teaching practice
  • Willingness to undertake a teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE/PGCHE) within two years
  • Commitment to gaining HEA Fellowship within one year
Desirable Criteria
  • PhD or equivalent
  • Industry/vocational experience in Business or Hospitality
  • Experience supporting learners from non-traditional pathways
  • Engagement with research, innovation, or pedagogical development
