Senior Quantity Surveyor Needed (Civil Engineering contractor)We are looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor who has worked on civil engineering projects under NEC form of contract options A & D. Must have good experience and skills including Subcontractor management, client management, commercial administration and reporting, general IT software’s, communication/stake holder management.Responsibilities for the Senior Quantity Surveyor will include:

Contract admin: valuations, EWNs, CE’s etc
Supporting and leading ops staff on commercial issues
Management of subcontract accounts
Management of cost to complete for the contract
Management of value recognition for the contract
Reporting cost and value positions to management at head office

Desirable requirements for the Senior Quantity Surveyor position:

Main contractor experience
Commercial management of contracts £10m+ in value
Experience of bridges, FRC and earthworks

Senior Quantity Surveyor Job offer:

18-month contract

Onsite near Loughborough in a village called Zouch. (Some hybrid may be available ie day a week at home)

Summary of projectReplacement of a 90-year-old bridge which spans the River Soar on the edge of the village of Zouch on the Leicestershire-Nottinghamshire border.The deteriorating state of the existing bridge, means it needs to be replaced on safety grounds as there is currently an 18-tonne weight restriction in place which prevents its use by HGVs.Leicestershire County Council has set aside £19.5m to carry out the work, which will involve the new bridge being built parallel to the existing bridge and then manoeuvred into place on a re-aligned section of the A6006.The old bridge will then be demolished, with the work currently scheduled to be completed by early 2027.If the Senior Quantity Surveyor position could be of interest, please apply via the link.
