Bracknell2199Panasonic UK | June 2024 Panasonic is setting up a brand new team in the UK for its Energy system technology using hydrogen fuel cells. This is a Panasonic in-house development Energy Management System comprising of market ready Renewable energy and Battery systems and Panasonic's Core Technology of Pure Hydrogen Fuel Cells. Our aim is to contribute to Net Zero targets and Panasonic already has a demo site in Japan and are now building one at our Cardiff Manufacturing site. We are looking for someone with entrepreneurial business development experience to start up our UK business while having support from colleagues in Germany and Japan.

Panasonic Hydrogen Business Office is looking for 2 roles to set up this new business venture. The Zero CO2 manufacturing sites use 3 types of energy sources linked to an Energy Management System. This system balances the volatile generation of power especially from the renewable systems in accordance with demands. This role is fundamental to getting this new business up and running in all aspects.How you will become part of the bigger picture.. You will:
  • Creating order specifications for Design/Construction/Material procurement
  • Consultations with electric companies regarding grid connection
  • Basic design of high-pressure gas equipment such as hydrogen and nitrogen
  • Negotiation with suppliers
  • Budget and quotation management for Design/Construction/Material procurement
  • Managing project documents such as drawings and schedules and responding to specification changes
  • Collaborate with partners to arrange submission of permits.
  • Review of notification documents prepared by partners such as consultants
  • Review/Supervision of design documents submitted by external partners such as EPC
  • Operation/Maintenance management of electrical equipment and high-pressure gas facilities such as hydrogen and nitrogen
What you will bring to the picture..
  • Project management experience for construction, design work in introducing electrical equipment such as power generation or transfer system.
  • Ability to work with a positive & proactive mindset
  • Experience in establishing partnerships with suppliers, customers, governmental bodies.
  • Logical approach and demonstrable negotiation skills
  • Ability to build the business practice and management skills while paying a high priority to compliance.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in our German and Japanese Teams.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to plan and prioritise
  • Strong analytical skills to assess data and prepare reports, both quantitative and qualitative

  • Project management experience for construction, design work of high-pressure gas facilities
  • Previously worked in a start up situation of this size and nature
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to travel within the UK and Europe
  • Flexibility for movement in case working location is changed.
