Join our team and be a part of a dynamic and supportive environment where your skills and contributions are valued.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist/Therapist to join our dynamic dental practice in Drighlington, West Yorkshire. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care and promoting oral health to our diverse patient base.
  • Start Date: December 2025 however we can be flexible in line with your notice period
  • Days and Hours: 1 x day per week, surgery space available on a Tuesday on a 12 month fixed term basis.
  • GDC registered Hygiene/Therapist with extensive experience working as a hygienist in UK practice required.
  • Perform comprehensive dental hygiene treatments, including Airflow
  • Conduct thorough oral health assessments and develop personalised treatment plans
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
  • Administer local anaesthesia and place dental sealants as needed
  • Take dental radiographs using digital technology
  • Collaborate with dentists and other team members to ensure optimal patient care
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and infection control protocols

  • Bachelor's degree in Dental Therapy or equivalent
  • Current GDC (General Dental Council) registration as a Dental Hygienist/Therapist
  • Proven experience in a dental hygiene and therapy role
  • Proficiency in a wide range of dental hygiene procedures
  • Strong knowledge of current dental hygiene practices and technologies
  • Experience with digital radiography equipment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Strong attention to detail and a patient-centered approach
  • Ability to build rapport with patients of all ages and backgrounds
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and patient needs
