Package DescriptionJob Role: Senior Support WorkerLocation: Haverfordwest (SA61)Salary: £13.60 - £14.20* per hourContract Type: Full-time, PermanentHours: 35 hours per weekUK Driving license with access to a vehicle is desirable.About The Haven:The Haven in Haverfordwest provides specialist support for 14 adults with Mental Health needs, Acquired Brain Injuries, Learning Disabilities and Physical Health needs. We will encourage and motivate each person to feel good about themselves and support them to gain confidence and do the things that are important to them and ultimately to lead happy and fulfilled lives. Everybody supported at The Haven will have a voice about what matters in their lives and our support is focused on ensuring that their voice is heard about every aspect of their lives.Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and guidance to a team of Support Workers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care to adults in supported living environments.
  • Promote independence, dignity, and well-being for individuals with a variety of care needs.
  • Support individuals with daily tasks such as personal care, household duties, budgeting, and accessing community activities.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of individual care plans.
  • Liaise with external agencies and professionals to ensure individuals receive the best possible care.
  • Take part in team meetings, supervision sessions, and provide coaching and mentoring to Support Workers.
Key Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1-2 years' experience as a Support Worker in an adult care setting.
  • A Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle is essential, as travel between locations is required.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to working with vulnerable adults.
  • Experience in supervising or leading a team.
