We’re looking for a General Manager for a premium pub in Aldridge. Salary up to £40,000 plus bonus and a generous benefits package.Marston’s is one of the UK’s largest and most beloved pub chains and today, we operate more than 1,300 pubs, bars and hotels. About the pubThe Old Irish Harp is a beautiful, characterful pub situated in Aldridge with good links to Walsall, Lichfield and Sutton Coldfield. It is available due to an internal move and has been well-ran and maintained.The pub is a food-led, premium business running the Marston’s Signature menu. The split is currently 70/30 and the pub is delivering weekly sales of around £22,000 with scope to drive wet trade.Although a destination site in nature, community-activity is key to the success of this pub, a General Manager who can drive weekly evening quizzes and entertainment will see sales growth. The pub also benefits from a lovely, big beer garden to the front of the building which can be maximised to drive wet trade in the summer.The pub is set up for success in terms of team, comprising of a Head Chef and strong kitchen team, new Assistant Manager and 3 Supervisors.There is live-in accommodation available to the General Manager in the form of a pub-level, 3 bedroom property with separate small garden and entrance.Have you got what it takes?It’s true, being a Pub Manager is demanding but the people make it much more than just a job.
