As a Sr Database Migration Specialist SA on the Database Migration Accelerator team, you will be:
- Working with customers, AWS sales, professional services, solution architects and product teams to drive migrations to AWS managed databases
- Assessing customer database workloads, helping qualifying those applications that are suitable for migration and developing a high-level migration plan
- Identifying technical solutions to migration roadblocks and guiding database and application developers to implement them
- Assisting customers in the execution of migration proof-of-concept projects
- Delivering technical workshops and immersion days
- Advising customers throughout the migration lifecycle, earning their trust and satisfaction
- Enabling customers in the use of AWS database and migration products and services
- Identifying new opportunities for AWS to improve our products and innovate on behalf of our customers.

- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
- Knowledge of one or more relational databases or NoSQL systems.
- Experience within specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence others internally and externally.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Knowledge of database migration software and technologies.
- Deep knowledge of more than one database - Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase, DB2, MongoDB, Cassandra, Teradata, Netezza, Greenplum, MySQL, PostgreSQL
- Ability to analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, and scope business requirements.
- Ability to deliver initiatives from conception through completion.
