You'll work in various healthcare and social care settings across Surrey Medicare People Healthcare Assistant, providing essential support to individuals who need assistance with their daily living activities due to a range of factors including age, illness, disability.We have a number of Senior Healthcare Assistant shifts available across different settings in Surrey.Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our team in the Bristol area. The ideal candidate will be skilled in delivering high-quality personal and clinical care, supporting individuals with complex health needs, and confident in managing responsibilities in line with regulatory and organisational standards.Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide hands-on personal care and clinical support to service users in a care home or supported living setting.
  • Administer medication safely and in accordance with protocols (including practical administration).
  • Support individuals with learning disabilities, autism , and dementia using tailored approaches like SALT and Makaton/BSL communication.
  • Implement care plans, risk assessments, and report changes in health or behaviour.
  • Record accurate and timely information following Information Governance and GDPR .
  • Assist in promoting independence, dignity, and mental well-being among residents.
  • Respond to medical emergencies and provide Emergency First Aid at Work (Practical) .
  • Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed, reporting concerns promptly.
  • Support colleagues in managing challenging behaviour and applying MCA/DoLS principles.
  • Promote a safe environment by observing Health & Safety , RIDDOR , COSHH , Fire Safety , and Lone Working guidelines.
