Smart Teachers are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a 'Good' school in West Acton.About the role
  • Teaching Assistant required to support a pupil in Year 2 with ASD on a 1:1 basis
  • Child requires support maintaining focus during lessons
  • Previous experience working with pupils with ASD is desirable but not essential as training would be provided to suitable candidates
  • Role is to start immediately on a full time basis (Mon-Fri 08:30-15:30)
  • Role initially contracted until July 2023 with a good chance of remployment in September 2023

  • School caters for a very diverse cohort of pupils and has higher than average % of pupils with EAL
  • Behaviour is good with the environment described as calm and happy
  • School led by and experienced and supportive SLT with staff turnover being very low due to the positive environment
  • Quality of teaching is good with pupils making excellent progress
RequirementsTo be considered for the role of KS1 Teaching Assistant you will:
  • Previous experience working with ASD is desirable but not essential
  • Be proactive and patient
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
  • Previous experience working with children in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced DBS
